About the Position : 

The Software Engineer I  for Buyer Experience will use their creativity, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to help C2FO deliver a new product offerings in the B2B payments, analytics, Working Capital Management space (in collaboration with many others, especially Product Managers and Engineers).

Our Engineers are at the forefront of how customers interact with C2FO. Working with our Product team, we create applications for internal and external customers. Our philosophy: short iterations with a focus on scalability while ensuring maintainability.

Essential Requirements : 

• Prioritize the success of both teammates and self, maintaining respect regardless of abilities.
• Collaborate with C2FO stakeholders (Engineering, Product, DevOps, and operational) to refine requirements, break down tasks, provide accurate estimates, and work independently on complex projects.
• Take ownership of the codebase and process, contributing to improvements and addressing tech debt.
• Proficient in source control (especially GitHub), and passionate about testing, code quality, and continuous integration.
• Work with minimal help on big slices of work/requirements that require high level and low level design and external dependencies while tracking and pushing the work through the process reliably.
• Always digging deeper to understand the problem space and the 'why' of your work, Willing to debate, obtain, and move forward with the best solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations, continuously improve documentation, and maintain high engineering standards. 
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Golang/Python/Java/NodeJS/Typescript, RBMS, REST/GraphQL APIs, and AWS/GCP.
• Experience with microservice and event-driven architecture.
• Familiar with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Work experience in distributed systems with a basic understanding of system design (HLD, LLD).
• Familiar with modern frontend frameworks like React.js or Vue.js.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Preferred experience with Nest.js, NextJS, GoLang, ORM tools, other relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Datadog.
• Experience with microservice and event-driven architecture, and building full-stack features from frontend to backend.
• Experience in distributed systems with a strong understanding of system design (HLD, LLD) and architecture.
• Experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant, durable, and highly available distributed systems in a fast-paced FinTech or product-based company.
