We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Growth and Experiences team. In your day-to-day, you will contribute to Confluent Cloud UI in Billing and build the tools, features, and processes that enable admins to maximize their productivity and success. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will utilize specialized knowledge in computer science, distributed data streams, client-side software development, code verification, large-scale systems deployment, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, algorithms, HCI design, and web application design to build web applications with new visualizations and interfaces scalable with Confluent Cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Develop distributed data streams and intuitive data flow for client-side web applications.
• Create new visualizations and interfaces that can scale with Confluent Cloud.
• Collaborate with backend software engineers to ensure user experience is not compromised by performance constraints of backend APIs.
• Work with designers to understand and implement component styling and interactions based on UI wireframes.
• Collaborate with product managers to build a seamless user experience.

Requirements:

• At least 6 month-1 year of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent.
• Experience building client-side web applications for data-intensive applications.
• Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript, typing in JS, HTML5 and CSS.
• Experience with React/Flux (or equivalent), modern JavaScript tooling/Webpack.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and application design.
