Job Description:  We are seeking an entry level (0 to 2 years’ experience) Application Developer for Web applications with a desired to learn and support on our front-end development using PHP, Core Java, JSP/Servlets and Oracle APEX.   Potentially ongoing need for developers to build web applications using backend database functionality.  A basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, code repositories like Git/Flex deploy and 

• Able to work independently, making use of technology to communicate effectively with the team via email, video and audio teleconference, and face to face
• The right candidate has great communication and leadership skills, is extremely self-motivated, and can quickly learn our proprietary code base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain and enhance existing web based and desktop client/server database applications. 
• Design and develop new features all the way from idea to implementation
• Work effectively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
• Conduct research to stay updated with the latest advancements in existing tools and support any technology upgrades.
• Take ownership of existing features and complete tasks using strong organization skills and with attention to detail
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Write thorough documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/engineering.
• Basic understanding on HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, JSP/Servlets.
• Basic knowledge Oracle with query writing using SQL and PL/SQL as an asset
• Strong desire to learn Oracle EBS applications and Oracle APEX is a plus
• Work as a team player, appropriately exhibiting a positive attitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
