Role Description:

• This is a remote internship role for an AR Development Intern working on an Augmented Reality FoodTech Project. The intern will be responsible for developing and implementing AR solutions, collaborating with team members to integrate AR with VR technologies, and conducting research. The role also includes analyzing project requirements, managing tasks efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders.

• We are building “AR Menu” — an innovative augmented reality dining experience that transforms how customers interact with restaurant menus.
• By simply scanning a QR code, customers can view 3D dishes in real-world space, explore ingredients, portion sizes, and nutritional details, and place orders seamlessly.
• Our goal is to revolutionize F&B experiences across India and later expand globally.

Role Overview:

• As an AR Development Intern, you’ll work closely with the founding team to design and develop the MVP of the AR Menu platform.
• You’ll contribute to building the core WebAR / MobileAR experience, integrating 3D assets, and connecting the frontend and backend systems to bring menus to life through augmented reality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prototype AR-based menu visualization using Unity (AR Foundation) or WebAR tools (8thWall / Three.js / WebXR).
• Integrate QR code scanning functionality and enable dish-specific 3D render triggers.
• Collaborate with designers to render and optimize 3D food models (GLTF / USDZ).
• Build frontend interfaces (React / Flutter / Unity UI) for menu navigation and interactions.
• Set up backend APIs for fetching menu data, nutrition info, and assets (Node.js / Firebase / Python).
• Test and deploy the MVP to work seamlessly across Android, iOS, and web browsers.
• Document the development process and contribute to the product roadmap.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with AR frameworks (Unity AR Foundation / ARCore / ARKit / WebXR / Three.js).
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript / React / Flutter / Unity C#.
• Understanding of 3D model formats (GLTF, FBX, USDZ) and rendering pipelines.
• Knowledge of Firebase / MongoDB / Node.js / REST APIs is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Passion for AR/VR, FoodTech, and interactive design.
