About the role:

We are seeking a motivated AI/ML Intern to join our team and contribute to the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning models. You will work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to build real-world solutions, experiment with algorithms, and support ongoing AI projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, or deep learning).
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
• Support model deployment workflows, such as converting models to production-ready formats.
• Experiment with algorithms, hyperparameter tuning, and metrics tracking.
• Contribute to preparing datasets, annotations, and documentation for ML pipelines.
• Implement proof-of-concept models using Python and popular ML frameworks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize model performance and scalability.
• Stay updated with recent advancements in AI/ML research and technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals (regression, classification, clustering, optimization).
• Hands-on experience with Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras).
• Ability to analyze datasets and apply appropriate statistical and ML techniques.
• Basic understanding of model evaluation metrics.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with NLP, computer vision, or generative AI models.
• Knowledge of ML Ops tools (MLflow, DVC, Docker).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience working on personal ML projects or Kaggle competitions.
• Understanding of real-world challenges like data imbalance, overfitting, and model interpretability.

Educational Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant coursework or projects in machine learning, AI, or data analysis.
