ContraVault AI builds AI-powered products for Tender/RFP intelligence and automation used by AEC and infrastructure teams. You’ll join a fast-paced product team working on clause-level analysis, competitor insights, and “Forms AI” workflows at scale.

Role Overview

We’re hiring entry-level Software Development Engineers who are passionate about building reliable, scalable software and who can work comfortably with modern AI tools. You will ship features end-to-end, write testable code, and collaborate across product and data teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality backend and frontend features for web applications.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit/integration tests and documentation.
• Debug, optimize, and improve existing codebases with measurable performance and reliability gains.
• Collaborate with product/design to translate requirements into technical solutions and APIs.
• Work with data pipelines and SQL/relational databases for application features and analytics.
• Use ChatGPT and similar LLM tools to accelerate development: scaffolding code, writing tests, generating docs, and exploring design alternatives responsibly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go).
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, RESTful APIs, and version control (Git).
• SQL proficiency and understanding of relational database concepts and normalization.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React/Next.js, Flask/FastAPI, Spring Boot, or similar).

AI Proficiency (must-have)

• Practical experience using ChatGPT for software tasks: code generation, refactoring, test authoring, documentation, and creating prompt-driven utilities.
• Ability to craft effective prompts (“prompt engineering”) and evaluate model outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Awareness of LLM limitations (hallucinations, context windows, latency) and techniques to mitigate them (validation, tests, guardrails).
• Bonus: Experience integrating LLMs via APIs (OpenAI-compatible), building simple RAG flows, or using tools like LangChain.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• Exposure to CI/CD, code quality tooling, and observability (logging/metrics).
• Interest in enterprise workflows (RFPs, contracts, compliance) and data-heavy applications.
