Job Description

About the Competition:

Hack the future with AI, quantum computing, and data innovation

Hosted by UST, D3CODE 2025 is a global innovation challenge that brings together students to create solutions for today’s most urgent problems. The India edition invites young innovators to apply advanced technologies—including AI, Quantum Computing, and Intelligent Data Ecosystems—in a multi-stage competition that leads to a global finale alongside regional winners from around the world.

D3 theme: Shaping new frontiers – Data, Intelligence and Quantum.
This year’s theme focuses on how innovation can drive inclusive, ethical, and sustainable solutions. We’re looking for ideas that don’t just push tech boundaries but create real, lasting social impact.

Hackathon Technology Pillars:

  • AI – Intelligent systems that collaborate, learn, and make autonomous decisions.
  • Quantum computing – Explore real-world applications of quantum technologies.
  • Data ecosystems – Architect scalable, secure, and intelligent data infrastructures.

Eligibility:

  • Open to students aged 18 and above who reside in India.

Why join D3CODE?

  • Create impactful solutions using frontier technologies.
  • Work with mentors from UST and collaborate with peers.
  • Gain national recognition and represent India on a global stage.
  • Showcase your innovation at UST’s flagship D3 event in Trivandrum, India.

How it works:

  • Ideathon phase (Aug 11 – Sep 10)
Submit your most innovative idea aligned with the D3 2025 theme and built using one or more key Technology pillars listed.
  • Idea Evaluation & Shortlisting (Sep 11 – Sep 18)
The jury will first shortlist the top 10 teams based on a preliminary evaluation of the submitted ideas. These teams will advance to the video presentation round. From there, five finalist teams will be selected based on their presentations and will move forward to the prototype development phase.
  • Prototype Development & Presentation (Sep 20 – Sep 21)
Prototype Development & Presentation is a 24-hour in-person event where the five finalist teams will build working prototypes and present them to the judges. One regional winner from India will be selected to advance to the Global finale round.
  • Global finale (Sep 25 – Sep 30)
The winning team from India will compete virtually against top teams from other regions, presenting their idea and prototype to UST global jury. One global winner will be selected.
  • D3 Conference (Oct 16)
The global winner will present live at the prestigious D3 conference, being held at Trivandrum, India.
