Job Summary

The Graduate Engineering Trainee is an entry-level opportunity for fresh graduates who are passionate about software engineering and modern digital technologies.

The role provides hands-on exposure to the design, development, testing, and delivery of scalable software solutions across web, API, and data platforms.

You will work closely with senior engineers, solution architects, and engineering managers to gain practical experience in:

• Enterprise application development

• Cloud-native technologies

• Application and data integration

• Databases

• DevOps and CI/CD

• Cloud computing

• Containerization

• Emerging technologies such as Generative AI

Collaboration, continuous learning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving are important aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enhancing software applications, APIs, and platform components under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Learn and apply software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles.

• Write clean, readable, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Participate in unit testing, debugging, and basic application performance optimization.

• Support the development of proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and technology experiments.

• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, architecture, and other cross-functional teams.

• Gain practical exposure to modern development tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms.

• Contribute to technical documentation, version control, and CI/CD activities.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with support from experienced team members.

• Participate in code reviews, learning initiatives, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Key Skills Required

• Strong programming fundamentals in Java or another object-oriented programming language.

• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OOPS) concepts.

• Basic knowledge of data structures and problem-solving techniques.

• Familiarity with databases and SQL / NoSQL concepts.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Willingness to learn multithreading, application performance concepts, and basic system design.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge or academic exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Exposure to Docker, containerization, or serverless technologies.

• Familiarity with Node.js or another backend scripting language.

• Basic understanding of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Academic or project experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Git-based version control.

• Curiosity and interest in Generative AI and emerging technologies.

• Experience with college projects, internships, hackathons, or other hands-on software development activities.

Educational Qualification & Experience

• B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / MSc-IT or equivalent qualification.

• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience, including internships.

• Strong academic foundation in software engineering or related technical disciplines.

• Hands-on experience through academic projects, internships, hackathons, or personal projects.

• Demonstrated interest in software engineering and enterprise technology.
