Job Description

As Software Test Automation Intern this role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software test automation, Python, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and automated functional and regression testing while working on real-world engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, an interest in software quality and automation, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively with developers and senior test engineers.

 

 

How You'll Make an Impact

 

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using Python
  • Develop and maintain BDD-based test scenarios using Behave
  • Execute functional and regression tests and analyze results
  • Identify, document, and support resolution of software defects
  • Investigate test failures and identify root causes
  • Update and maintain automation scripts
  • Collaborate with developers, senior testers, and engineering teams
  • Learn and apply best practices in testing and automation

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Programming: Python 3.x
  • Test Automation: Selenium and automated functional and regression testing
  • BDD: Understanding of BDD and Behave framework
  • Software Fundamentals: OOP, Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Developer Tools: Git, GitHub, VS Code, Docker
  • APIs & Debugging: REST APIs, debugging and troubleshooting
  • Strong programming and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of Python fundamentals
  • Interest in software testing and automation
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and debugging
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of C++ or Ruby is an added advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Ruby
  • Exposure to software development or test automation projects
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts

 

Education

 

Candidates should be pursuing the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science & engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
