A Big Data Analyst collaborates with multiple stakeholders to collect, process, automate, and analyse large datasets, transforming complex information into actionable insights for management. The role involves working with diverse data sources, analytics platforms, AI technologies, and programming languages to support data-driven decision-making. It also requires expertise in tools such as Python, Power BI, AI solutions, and other specialised analytics technologies for analysing both structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and the Procurement team to collect Purchase Register data from contracted suppliers and internal systems.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources while ensuring completeness and consistency.

Data Cleansing

• Review, clean, and standardise collected data to improve accuracy and maintain high data quality across various product categories.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing data.

Data Mining

• Extract meaningful information from large datasets using analytical tools and modern AI techniques.
• Discover trends, patterns, and opportunities to support business decisions.

Data Analysis

• Apply statistical and analytical methods to interpret data and generate valuable business insights.
• Perform descriptive and advanced analytics to support reporting and strategic initiatives.

Automation

• Develop automated reporting and dashboard solutions based on historical data.
• Streamline repetitive manual processes through automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
