We are recruiting on behalf of a highly accomplished client based in Dallas, Texas. The team is deeply passionate about all things Cisco, true experts in the Cisco ecosystem with a culture that lives and breathes the technology. Their professionals bring extensive hands-on experience with Cisco products, many having worked directly with Cisco at various points in their careers. The team boasts an impressive collection of CCIE certifications, with several members holding double, triple, and even quad CCIEs, and a collective IT experience spanning 10 to 25 years.

Responsibilities:

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Shadow and assist on live customer deployments across the Cisco security portfolio (XDR, Secure Firewall, ISE, Umbrella, Duo, Secure Access, Secure Endpoint)
• Help build and test lab scenarios that mirror customer environments
• Contribute to documentation, run books, and configuration templates
• Assist with Proof-of-Value (PoV) engagements setup, data collection, and reporting
• Support automation and integration work (Jira, Teams, SOAR workflows, MCP-based tooling)
• Participate in technical design discussions and customer calls (listen-and-learn early, contribute later)

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or a related field
• Strong academic foundation in security concepts — network security, cryptography, threat landscape, defense-in-depth
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Comfortable in a command line and willing to figure things out without being handed a manual
• Strong written communication — you can describe a technical problem clearly
• Self-starter who thrives in a remote environment and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
• Evidence that you do this because you love it — CTFs, home lab, security blogs, GitHub projects, security club, side projects, anything. Show us you'd be doing this even if nobody was paying you.
