HackVega is back, looking for the brightest star of tech brilliance!

The second edition of our most competitive hackathon brings together exceptional engineering minds from the graduating cohorts of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029. All competing on one stage to solve real industry challenges and prove what they are truly capable of.

This is your chance to go head-to-head with some of the best talent in the country, stretch your thinking across every round, and discover just how far your potential can take you.

For those who rise to the top, the stakes are real. Up to Rs 3.5 lakh in total cash prizes are on the line, along with the opportunity to take the stage at HirePro Momentum'26, in front of industry and academic leaders defining the future of talent.

Top performers will be recognized at HirePro's Momentum'26, India's largest conference of industry and academia leaders. It is an opportunity to be seen by key decision-makers across tech, talent, and academia, all in one place. 

Represent your campus on a national stage

The three best-performing institutions will be recognized at Momentum'26, based on participation, performance, and consistency across the hackathon. It is a chance to put your college in the spotlight among the best in the country.

Winners get the opportunity to interact with people who influence real career outcomes, from founders and recruiters to academic leaders. It is also a space to meet and compete alongside driven peers from top institutions.

Every round is designed to reflect real-world problem-solving. Each round is designed to test how you think, build, and perform under pressure.

For colleges: take your campus to the national stage

Three institutions that consistently stand out throughout HackVega 2.0 will be recognised at Momentum'26, based on the following evaluation criteria:

• Participation quality: The number of students participating, diversity across departments, and engagement throughout the hackathon
• Performance across rounds: Scores, rankings, and overall outcomes achieved by students across all stages
• Consistency of performance: The number of students who progress through all rounds and maintain strong results
• Campus engagement: Support from the institution, including student outreach, coordination, and faculty involvement

Registration

• Opens: 18 May, 2026
• Closes: 15 June, 2026
• Eligibility: Engineering students graduating in 2026, 2027, 2028, or 2029

Round 1: Aptitude and logical assessment

June 20 | 45 minutes | Online

The first challenge is an intense test of your cognitive skills. Tackle questions across quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning.

Round 2: Technical coding

June 21 | 60 minutes | Online

Time to test your technical ability. Solve coding challenges that assess your programming skills, logic, and problem-solving approach.

Round 3: Advanced live coding 

June 27 | Online

The final stage evaluates your problem-solving, AI familiarity and programming skills through a live coding format, designed to test how good you are at working with AI tools.

The top winners will be revealed, representing the best performers from HackVega 2.0.

Winners will take the stage at HirePro's Momentum'26, where industry and academic leaders come together to recognize top talent.

Terms and Conditions

• HackVega 2.0 will have one (1) first prize, one (1) second prize, four (4) third prizes, and ten (10) fourth prizes, making a total of 16 winners. Winners may also receive potential internship opportunities through MyCareernet.
• Prize money is subject to TDS deduction as per applicable laws.
• Image(s) shown are for representational purposes only. Actual prizes may vary.
• Only one entry is allowed per participant. Any form of malpractice, including copying code, recording questions, or seeking external assistance, will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Winners will be announced by June 30, 2026, and will be recognized at HirePro's Momentum'26.
• If a winner cannot be contacted, MyCareernet reserves the right to select an alternate winner, forfeit the prize, or donate it to charity.
• In case of any dispute, the decision of MyCareernet will be final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
• MyCareernet reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the challenge at its discretion.
• The legal jurisdiction for this challenge will be Bengaluru, Karnataka.
• Organizers of HackVega 2.0 reserve the right to update or change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
• MyCareernet is an initiative by Careernet and HirePro. MyCareernet does not charge any placement fee from job seekers. If anyone requests payment in the name of Careernet, HirePro, or MyCareernet, it should be treated as fraudulent.
