Role Overview

As an AI Engineering Intern, you’ll work on Clara, Clinikally’s multi-agent AI platform for dermatology and haircare. This role is heavily focused on frontend integration and production-ready AI experiences — building interfaces, workflows, and user-facing AI systems rather than experimental demos.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and AI teams to ship scalable AI features directly into production.

What You’ll Work On

• Build and integrate AI-powered user experiences using React / Next.js
• Develop production-grade interfaces for AI workflows, agent interactions, and recommendation systems
• Work on agent orchestration flows, tool calling, and frontend interaction layers for Clara’s multi-agent architecture
• Build dynamic UI components for chat flows, AI-generated insights, image analysis, and product recommendations
• Integrate APIs, streaming responses, and structured AI outputs into responsive frontend applications
• Contribute to multimodal experiences including image uploads, OCR flows, and vision-assisted diagnosis journeys
• Improve performance, usability, and reliability of AI-powered workflows in production
• Collaborate with backend and AI teams on prompt flows, evaluations, and product experimentation

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in React.js / Next.js and modern frontend development
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, component architecture, and API integrations
• Familiarity with Python and working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
• Understanding of AI product workflows, structured outputs, and conversational interfaces
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows

Strong Plus

• Experience integrating AI/LLM features into frontend applications
• Familiarity with streaming responses, chat UIs, and real-time frontend experiences
• Knowledge of multi-agent systems, tool calling, or orchestration frameworks
• Understanding of prompt engineering and AI evaluation workflows
• Experience working with vector databases or RAG-based systems

Nice to Have

• FastAPI, Docker, or Redis
• Basic understanding of backend architecture and deployment workflows
• Experience with image processing or multimodal AI applications
