Medoc Health is looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) who will work on designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power real-world healthcare operations; the role involves working close to core infrastructure, data flows, and integrations, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and clean system design; the engineer will be a key contributor to translating complex healthcare workflows into robust, production-ready services.

Key Responsibilities (Flexible based on skill set):

1. Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
2. Data & Integrations: Work with databases, message queues, and third-party integrations to ensure reliable data flow across systems.
3. System Architecture: Contribute to backend architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
4. Performance & Reliability: Optimize services for speed, fault tolerance, and high availability; identify and resolve bottlenecks.
5. Production Readiness: Implement logging, monitoring, testing, and deployment practices to ensure stable production systems.

Requirements

1. Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
2. Experience with RESTful APIs and backend frameworks.
3. Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
4. Familiarity with system design concepts, scalability, and cloud environments.
