Your Role

• Design and develop enterprise life cycle management software for backend / datastore components which will be shipped to customer’s premises.
• Improve performance and scalability of the backend / datastore components.
• Leverage open-source projects to build systems and make contributions back to them.
• Build & support internal-facing platform services that will be used by different engineering teams in the organization.

What You Will Bring

• Love for programming and rock-solid in one or more languages: Java, Golang, C++ or Rust.
• Good understanding of data structure and algorithms.
• Understand multiple open-source distributed databases / queues / workflow systems, its trade-offs and capabilities to leverage the right tool for the right set of use cases.
• Understand scaling issues and come up with product (open source) solutions.
• Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, and design/ implementation tradeoffs in building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems software.
• Experience with containerization of stateful applications like Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis, Neo4j, etc will be a huge plus.
• Experience in Analytical datastores such as Apache Druid or ClickHouse is a huge plus.
• Experience with Workflow systems such as Conductor / Temporal / Apache Airflow is a huge plus.
• Experience in container orchestration and service mesh technologies like Kubernetes, Nomad, Istio, Consul, etc will be a huge plus.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
