Responsibilities (4-6 bullets max - potentially more for senior roles)

• Participate in code reviews, deploy service changes
• Release features to live production
• Create feature test cases
• Identify and communicate risks within the coding environment

Key Competencies 

• Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated capacity to decompose intricate technical challenges into actionable steps and propose efficient solutions.

• Programming Aptitude: Proficient coding and debugging skills in Go / Java emphasising clean, efficient, and modular code development. Passionate about writing scalable and efficient code, prefers to automate tasks when possible, and enjoys working on side projects outside of work/school.

• Database Management: Ability to understand, design, and optimize database structures, especially for MySQL and DynamoDB, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.

• System Design Thinking: The aptitude to conceptualise and design distributed, event-driven, and highly scalable backend systems, focusing on performance and resilience.

• Team Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively in a technical team setting, understanding and respecting code review feedback, and participating actively in design discussions.

Experience

• Education: Currently enrolled in a related degree program at an accredited college or university.

• frontend Development Experience: Prior involvement, either through academic or side projects, using react native, or working with native or cross platform android and iOS Development.

• Database Projects: Historical engagement with or academic courses on MySQL, DynamoDB, or similar database systems showcasing data model, CRUD operations, or optimisation tasks.

• Academic or Coop Achievements: Achievements from previous internships, Coop experiences, or academic recognitions that highlight their technical capabilities and growth mindset. Participation/achievement in Hackathons is a plus.
