Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Collection Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manually collecting, compiling, and verifying data from multiple sources. This role requires a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a basic understanding of database principles. The Data Collection Intern will play a crucial role in supporting our data analysis and research projects by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Compilation

·        Manually collect data from various sources, including online databases, websites, reports, and other relevant platforms.

·        Compile and organize collected data into structured formats (Excel, CSV, or SQL databases) for easy analysis and retrieval.

·        Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by cross-verifying with multiple reliable sources.

Data Entry and Management

·        Input collected data into specified databases, spreadsheets, or internal systems with high accuracy and attention to detail.

·       Regularly update and maintain data records to reflect the most current information.

·        Support the development and improvement of data management procedures to increase efficiency and reliability.

Data Analysis and Reporting

·        Assist with data profiling and basic SQL queries to identify patterns, gaps, and inconsistencies.

·        Support the team in generating reports and insights from structured data using Excel and SQL tools.

·        Participate in data validation and quality checks as needed for ongoing projects.

Collaboration and Support

·        Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and operations teams to identify data collection needs and improvement opportunities.

·        Provide timely and accurate data support to stakeholders and respond to data-related queries.

·        Contribute ideas and participate in planning discussions during team meetings and strategy sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

·        Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·        Strong proficiency in SQL (ability to write basic to intermediate queries) is highly preferred.

·        Familiarity with data platforms and workflows is a plus (e.g., ETL tools, databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or cloud platforms).

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, data formatting).

·        Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and consistency.

·        Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

·        Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.

·        Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

·        Demonstrated interest in data analytics, engineering, or data operations is a plus.
