The AI/ML Engineer - CAD Applications Intern will focus on leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to enhance Information Management solutions within the Engineering and PLM domain. This role involves contributing to projects and supporting the development of innovative CAx / PLM applications, specifically exploring how AI/ML can be applied to CAD data and workflows. The intern should be able to execute projects with limited supervision, applying expertise in programming and AI/ML concepts to build intelligent solutions.

Primary Skills: Python, C++/C#, Basic CAD Knowledge

Must have Qualification / Experience 

Any graduate having below primary technical skills 

Programming language : Python, C++/C#

Understanding of AI/ML Concepts (supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction etc)

Understanding of Machine Learning, data handling and visualization libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, OpenCV, Yolo  etc.

Basic Understanding of Advanced Machine Learning concepts such as CNN, RNN, ResNet, Transfer learning, Image Segmentation etc.

Strong knowledge in C++, Data structures and Design Patterns ) 

Good knowledge on basic mathematics and Geometry

Basic Knowledge on CAD (Any CAD tools like CATIA)

Good to have Skills:

Understanding/experience in CATIA CAA/VBA Customization

Experience in building neural networks (CNN, RNN)

Experience in machine learning project related to image or 3D Data processing

Familiarity with geometric processing libraries or 3D data handling tools (e.g., PCL, Open3D)

Responsibilities 

● Candidates will be mainly responsible for development activities. 

● His/her primary functions are coding, debugging, unit testing, design review, code  review, specification review and unit test plan review. 

● Identify, assess risks and opportunities in his/her area of duty. He/she identifies and  prioritizes events that might negatively/positively affect the programme / process/  function objectives and he/she categorizes them. He/she takes corrective and preventive  actions accordingly. 

● Excellent communication skills to work in a globally distributed team
