At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Bingo Bash is a highly international team working on the biggest video game from India to date (measured by revenue). Here you will work on a top-grossing F2P game with significant and growing daily revenues, and help create fresh content for our players.

What You’ll Do

You understand the entire stack from web/mobile client to back-end, databases and networking systems and are capable of building mission-critical application features using industry-standard engineering best practices. You have experience working with large scale applications. You are an enthusiastic and high energy worker, who thrives on being in a vibrant, creative and fun work environment, building games that millions of users play every day! You will communicate with all the team members to establish a pipeline and integrate art assets, taking into account the game roadmap. Your key responsibilities will include

  • Coding & Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using the company’s tech stack (e.g., PHP, Java, JavaScript, React, etc.).
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with senior developers to design simple technical solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Implementation & Deployment: Assist in developing, testing, and deploying features and updates to live environments.
  • Debugging & Troubleshooting: Work to identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs or issues within existing code or systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of code, systems, and processes for reference and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, programming languages, and software development best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Basic Coding Knowledge: Understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, PHP etc) and willingness to learn more.
  • Hands-On Development: Basic experience in well documented hands-on coding, whether through internships, academic projects, or personal development projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Tech Stacks: Exposure to relevant technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django, Flask, AWS, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle: Awareness of basic development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) is helpful.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to grow technical skills and gain experience with new tools and technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Team Player: Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Projects/Experience: Experience with coding through personal projects, internships, or academic courses is an advantage.
  • Version Control: Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Front-End/Back-End Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or back-end (PHP, Java, Python) development.
  • Database Understanding: Exposure to database management and queries (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
