This year’s celebration is all about a call to take bold leaps towards breaking barriers and challenging prejudices. As part of our commitment, we are excited to announce the Student Hackathon 'Accelerate Her in Tech' designed to Accelerate Action for gender equality in technology, particularly among students.

Our hackathon is designed to #AccelerateAction for promoting gender equality in technology, particularly among students. Through this multi-phased endeavor, we aim to inspire innovation by empowering students to experiment with technical solutioning. This hackathon themed around networking and software aims to extend an equal opportunity to women students to demonstrate their technical prowess; and to male students to show their solidarity towards advancing Women in Technology.

Challenge Structure

Round 1—Programming Challenge: Your opportunity to show us your true passion & agility for technology & programming. This round will comprise 25 MCQs and 2 Programming Questions to be solved within two-and-a-half hour using a programming language of your choice. This is an elimination round.

Round 2—Code Hunt: Upon successfully demonstrating your zeal for programming in Round 1, if shortlisted, you shall be invited to Code Hunt Round, This round will have a series of questions that will be revealed across three days. The purpose of this round is to push you to further test your core fundamentals. This is an elimination round.

Event Finale—Prototype Phase/Case Study: The top 50 participants from Round 2 will be invited to this final round. Here, you will be given themes and you can choose any one theme and build a prototype solution/case study for the same. This will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on a final demo from each team.

Eligibility

This initiative is exclusively for female and male students of some Nokia-preferred colleges. Invitations to participate are being sent directly to the Placement Officers of respective colleges. Additional requirements: 

1. B.Tech, MCA, or M.Tech students from CS, IT, ECE, and related branches
2. Graduation year: 2026
3. Minimum 65% marks in the highest education
4. No active backlogs
