Function: Software Engineering → Frontend Development

  • JavaScript
  • React.js

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js and JavaScript ES6+ features.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with backend developers and web designers to improve usability.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of proven work experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, ES6+ Features, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux, Context API, etc).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization (use of techniques like Lazy Loading, Memoization, etc).
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Good to have):

  • Experience with Typescript.
  • Familiarity with front-end testing libraries and frameworks.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of CSS pre-processors, such as SASS or LESS.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
