Better Software is a software development agency specializing in building robust, scalable applications for our clients and internal products.

We are looking for a software engineer in driving developer productivity, standardizing workflows, and contributing to the open-source community.

Responsibilities:
Platform Development:

  1. Build and maintain developer tools such as boilerplates, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure templates to enhance productivity.
  2. Utilize AI for automating repetitive tasks like code generation, testing, and system monitoring.
  3. Standardize workflows and best practices to ensure consistent, scalable, and cost-effective software delivery.

Open-Source Contributions:

  1. Develop and contribute high-quality tools, libraries, and frameworks to the open-source community.
  2. Create technical blogs, case studies, and white papers to showcase expertise and innovation.
  3. Represent Better Software at industry events and conferences to promote thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in implementing developer productivity tools.
  2. Expertise in Python (Flask), Node.js (MERN), React, and React Native.
  3. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean), and cost optimization practices.
  4. Familiarity with AI-driven development processes, including automation in testing and deployment.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a history of publishing or presenting technical content.
  6. Passion for open-source contributions and engaging with the developer community.
