The Red Hat OpenStack engineering team is seeking a CI-focused Software Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with upstream communities, lead to build out and continuous improvement of the CI process for OpenStack - involving containerized services deployed on OpenShift.

As a member of the design team, you'll contribute to feature test coverage, tooling frameworks, issue troubleshooting and resolution of OpenStack services. As a Software Engineer, you will participate as a member of a geographically distributed team, using multiple communication tools for close collaboration. You'll need to have a passion for modern open source development methods.

What you will do?

• Become a contributing member of the open source community to develop CI framework tools based on OpenStack’s Zuul, GitHub, GitLab CI

• Develop and maintain Red Hat OpenStack Platform operators and services CI

• Contribute to the delivery of Red Hat OpenStack Platform release cadence

• Participate in upstream and internal continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), as well as automation.

• Inspire and guide technical direction and content within the community and Red Hat

• Work with the OpenStack deployment - including Openshift managed operators - and upstream CI teams to improve automation coverage

• Proactively define and implement automated processes

• Maintain and troubleshoot issues in the OpenStack production chain pipeline

What will you bring?

• 2+ Years of experience with CI and or DevOps

• Expert in CI pipelines and Ansible automation for seamless deployments and consistent environments.

• Proficient in Python and Shell scripting, with advanced skills in Jenkins for efficient CI/CD workflows.

• Skilled in precise debugging to swiftly identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring smooth operations.

• Experienced with Zuul for managing sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and streamlining code reviews.

• Specialist in Kubernetes for container orchestration and OpenStack for managing scalable cloud infrastructure
