Do you have an idea that solves a problem, offers a better way of doing something, or paves a path to happiness? Then bring it to the Tata Imagination Challenge 2024.

India’s biggest idea competition is open to college and postgraduate students across India and Tata employees worldwide. Your idea can be about anything, and you can be from any stream — literature, design, science, technology, medicine, economics, business or anything else. All that matters is how your idea makes life a little bit better, happier, and easier. #imaginethat

Eligibility: Have a creative and innovative vision that adds value to the world? If you’re passionate about making a difference and breathing life into a great idea, then Tata Imagination Challenge 2024 is the platform for you! 
You are eligible for this track if:

• You are a college-going student (undergraduate or postgraduate) from any stream in any part of India
• You are currently a full-time student
• You have completed 10+2 schooling or equivalent
• You are enrolled in a regular or full-time course, undergraduate or postgraduate, in a university or college in India
• You are pursuing courses approved by AICTE or UGC or one-year management courses approved by business schools
• Your classes have begun for the current academic year

You are not eligible for this track if:

• You’ve been offered admission, but your classes haven’t started
• You’ve enrolled in a correspondence or distance education course
• You’ve already passed out of college or completed your course
• You are not a full-time student
• You are a student on sabbatical from your current employer (non-Tata)

Competition Structure:

Round 1 - Tata Brand Assessment:

20 questions in 20 minutes: Brush up your Tata quotient along with aptitude skills and you’re ready to go! Other than correct answers, speed will earn you extra points in this round! 

Round 2 - Gamified Assessment:

You’ve aced the quiz round! Now, get ready for an exciting gamified challenge. It’s all about logical thinking, critical reasoning, and quick reflexes. Set up your laptop or PC in a quiet spot with good lighting, and let the games begin! No need for hectic preparation, we got you covered there! Round 3 - #imaginethat Idea Pitch:

You are now just ONE step away from claiming the National Finalist tag at Tata Imagination Challenge 2024! Standing at the cusp of victory, all you have to do is share an IDEA that can make a difference, big, or small! You have been selected to showcase your idea to Tata seniors. This is how you crack the Idea Pitch round: 

• Grab your phone or laptop and record a two-minute video explaining your idea, why it’s important, and how it will drive change. Pretend the camera is your audience and let your creativity flow in words.
• Answer three short questions on your idea (in written format):
  • WHAT - Describe your idea and why it is needed. 
  • HOW - Explain how your idea will bring about change. 
  • WHO - Describe the potential impact of the change and who it will benefit 
• Detailed guidelines will be shared with shortlisted candidates over email.
• Watch out for masterclasses and doubt-clearing sessions to help you ace this round.

Idea Buddy Phase (Non-Evaluative)

Top 50 candidates with the best ideas will be declared as ‘Finalists’, who will pitch their ideas to senior Tata leaders. Before the Grand Finale, each Finalist will be paired with an Idea Buddy from the Tata group. They will help you polish and perfect your idea presentation for the Finale. 

Popular Choice Awards (Non-Evaluative)

The jury’s assessment is important, but the people’s choice matters too! The Top 50 ideas will be put up for voting and 5 ideas with the maximum votes will win exciting prizes.

Round 4 - Grand Finale:

Finalists, this is your moment to shine! Present your idea to a panel of senior Tata leaders in the final round of Tata Imagination Challenge 2024. Tell them about your IDEA, show them WHO YOU ARE and WHAT ARE YOUR OWN CAREER ASPIRATIONS. 

During the Grand Finale, Finalists will get a chance to meet Tata leaders and fellow Finalists during an all-expenses paid two-day immersive experience in Mumbai, receive Tata brand goodies & vouchers and visit Bombay House, the iconic and historic headquarters of the Tata group! 

Rewards and Prizes:

Tata Imagination Challenge shines the spotlight on you and your idea. Registered participants get a chance to compete with innovative thinkers, win exciting rewards, and interact with Tata leaders.
