Platform Product development is going through transformation to drive adoption for Click to Pay across multiple regions with more authentication mechanism and payment features. As a Software Engineer, you will be integral part of this transformation and will be solving challenging business problems and build highly scalable and available applications that provide an excellent user experience. Here are key responsibilities of the role -

• Design, document and implement new systems, as well as enhancements and modifications to existing software with code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java best practices.
• Good grasp on data structure and algorithm
• Full-stack development contributes to the design of backend databases and queries, API creations and consumptions, and contributes to frontend UI development. 
• Interact with technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations while applying the latest available tools and technology
• Have a passion for delivering zero defect code and be responsible for ensuring the team's deliverables meet or exceed business expectations and having learning attitude for new tech stack.
• Works independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visa’s high standards of security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance.
• Supports test engineers and operation teams in troubleshooting, defect research, issue root cause analysis, and other related activities. 
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications-

• Bachelors degree, OR 1+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical field required with 1-3 years of experience as a Java/Fullstack developer.
• Experience with JAVA
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with Spring Technologies
• Experience with JavaScript and front-end technologies/frameworks like JQuery, ReactJS, Angular
• Awareness on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline
• Knowledge on Database technologies like Oracle and NoSQL solutions
• Knowledge on network architecture, VIPS, and Firewalls
