About the role

Neso Academy is looking for a talented and motivated App Developer Intern to join our technical team. This internship offers an opportunity to work on real-world mobile applications, strengthen your development skills, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The role will primarily involve Android application development using Kotlin, with exposure to mobile development concepts across both Android and iOS platforms.

Immediate joiners are preferred.

Fresh graduates who graduated in 2026 or are expected to graduate in 2027 are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the technical team in developing, maintaining, and improving mobile applications.
• Build and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Work with Android SDK and gain exposure to iOS SDK and cross-platform mobile development concepts.
• Develop user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and XML for Android applications.
• Understand and implement MVVM architecture and work with Android Jetpack (AndroidX) libraries.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Contribute to application performance optimization and improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and follow clean, maintainable coding practices.
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify and solve real-world development problems.
• Stay updated with new mobile development tools, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of mobile application development.
• Good understanding of Kotlin and willingness to explore advanced Android development concepts.
• Familiarity with Android SDK and iOS SDK.
• Understanding of UI development using Jetpack Compose and/or XML.
• Basic understanding of MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack (AndroidX).
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues.
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and work collaboratively.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals and logical thinking.

Good to have

• Familiarity with Firebase and its mobile development services.
• Basic knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
• Exposure to application performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
• Any prior experience with mobile application projects or published apps.
