The Role: Product Design Intern

As a Product Design Intern at Upstox, you will solve real-world problems in the fintech space, working alongside seasoned designers and cross-functional teams. You will get hands-on experience in shaping user journeys, building intuitive interfaces, and creating designs that impact millions of users. This is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and contribute meaningfully in a high-growth product environment.

What You’ll Do

Design thoughtful, simple, and elegant solutions for customer problems.

Contribute to UI and UX across different product journeys — from new features to refining existing flows.

Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and polished visual designs.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to ship impactful solutions.

Apply user research, product thinking, and data insights to your design decisions.

Participate in design reviews, give and receive feedback, and continuously refine your work.

Learn what it takes to ship high-quality design at scale in a fast-growing product team.

Who You Are

You have a portfolio (academic, personal, or freelance projects) that showcases your design thinking and problem-solving.

You’re curious, proactive, and hungry to learn every day.

You care about balancing usability, aesthetics, and performance.

You have strong attention to detail and thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments.

You’re comfortable with tools like Figma and can express ideas visually and interactively.

You’re collaborative, open to feedback, and eager to level up your craft.

Bonus Points

Experience working with real users or conducting user research.

Exposure to data-driven design or defining impact metrics for your work.

Prior experience (internship, freelance, or projects) in a B2C product environment.
