Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with React and be proficient in creating dynamic, responsive web applications. You will collaborate closely with our back-end developers to deliver a seamless user experience for our next-generation product.

We are currently evolving our technology stack to a modern MERN architecture (MongoDB Atlas, Express, React, Node) and adopting a serverless approach with GraphQL for API integration. Join us in shaping the future of fitness club management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with a multi-facetted team to build the next generation of Hapana fitness management software across multiple global regions.
• Build backend systems to deliver core functionality to users
• Work primarily in React
• Be able to utilize REST and GraphQL APIs
• Develop and maintain user-facing features using React.js.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.
• Implement and ensure the consistency of UI/UX standards.
• Utilize GraphQL APIs for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Troubleshoot and debug application issues to improve overall user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance our front-end capabilities.
• Work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Work with other team members using the Scrum methodology in different time-zones.
